My Doggy Dreams: Why I Love Corgis, Frenchies, and More

Hi everyone! Itโ€™s me, Ana! Today I want to share something really fun and exciting that has been on my heart for a long time. If you know me, then you already know how much I love dogs . Theyโ€™re fluffy, silly, loyal, and just the best friends ever. But when it comes to my absolute favorite breeds, there are two that I just canโ€™t stop thinking about: corgis and frenchies (thatโ€™s short for French Bulldogs).

I love lots of dogs, but these two breeds always make me smile the biggest . Theyโ€™re like the perfect mix of funny, cute, and sassy, which makes total sense because if youโ€™ve read my blog before, you know I love sass.

Why I Love Corgis

Can we just appreciate those little legs?! Like, how do corgis even walk on those tiny stumps? They look like little bread loaves running around, and I think thatโ€™s the funniest and cutest thing ever.

Another reason I love corgis is their booties. Yep, I said it! Their fluffy behinds are so famous that people even make cartoons and stickers about them. Whenever I see one wiggling its little corgi butt, I canโ€™t help but laugh .

Corgis are also really smart and playful. They were herding dogs, which means they used to help farmers move animals like sheep ๐Ÿ‘. That makes me think a corgi would be perfect in my dog walking group, S.P.P.P. (Sassy Polished Pup Patrol). They could help keep all the pups in line while also looking absolutely adorable in a headband.

Why I Love Frenchies

Now letโ€™s talk about frenchies. First of all, their ears! Oh my goodness, they look like little bunny-bat ears sticking straight up. They make frenchies look like theyโ€™re always listening really carefully, and I think thatโ€™s the cutest thing ever .

Then thereโ€™s their squishy little faces. I love how frenchies always look a little bit grumpy or sleepy, even when theyโ€™re having fun. Itโ€™s like theyโ€™re saying, โ€œUgh, do I really have to get up?โ€ but then they trot over anyway because they secretly love you .

Frenchies also seem like the perfect cuddly lap dogs. I can totally imagine one sitting on me while I play video games or read, snoring gently and making funny little piggy noises .

Other Breeds I Love Too

Even though corgis and frenchies are my top favorites, I also really love German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers . German Shepherds are so smart and brave, they remind me of military dogs, which makes sense because Iโ€™m a military kid.

And Golden Retrievers? Theyโ€™re the happiest dogs ever. They always look like theyโ€™re smiling and ready to play. I feel like Golden Retrievers would be the best fetch buddies (unlike Foxy, who hates toys because sheโ€™s a potato ).

How Foxy Fits In

Of course, I canโ€™t talk about my love of dogs without mentioning Foxy, my real-life pup . Sheโ€™s a pitbull mix, my emotional support animal, and the captain of S.P.P.P. She wears a purple and tan headband because sheโ€™s a girly girl , and even though sheโ€™s a fat potato , she takes her job very seriously.

But hereโ€™s the thing: Foxy doesnโ€™t really like other dogs . Sheโ€™s totally fine being the one and only boss pup of the house. Sometimes, when Iโ€™m gushing about corgis and frenchies, Foxy gives me a look like, โ€œExcuse me, arenโ€™t I enough dog for you?โ€ And sheโ€™s right, sheโ€™ll always be my number one .

Even if she doesnโ€™t love other dogs, I know Foxy wouldnโ€™t mind if I dream about them. Deep down, she probably thinks no other dog could ever compete with her sass anyway. And honestlyโ€ฆ sheโ€™s right.

Why Dogs Mean So Much To Me

Dogs are amazing because each breed has something special: corgis are silly, frenchies are cuddly, German Shepherds are strong, and Golden Retrievers are joyful ๐Ÿพ. They remind me to be playful, sassy, and brave, just like them.

For now, Iโ€™ll keep hanging out with Foxy, my potato pup ๐Ÿพ, and keep dreaming about the day when maybe I can add a corgi, frenchie, or even a retriever or shepherd to the family.

About Me

Hi! My name is Ana! Iโ€™m 10 years old, homeschooled, and a Christian . Iโ€™m also a proud military kid, my dad is retiring soon! I love video games (thatโ€™s why Roblox is one of my favorites), writing fun blog posts, and spending time with my dog Foxy . My favorite color is baby pink, my favorite animal is a dolphin , and my favorite dog breeds are (you guessed it!) corgis and frenchies ๐Ÿพ.

About Foxy

Foxy is my pitbull mix and my official emotional support animal . Sheโ€™s also the captain of my dog walking group, S.P.P.P. (Sassy Polished Pup Patrol). Foxyโ€™s favorite colors are purple and tan . She always licks her paws on the couch (in my momโ€™s spot ), and she LOVES my stuffed animal Daddy Bear . She always picks me over my mom, and even though sheโ€™s a total fat potato , sheโ€™s the best dog in the world!

Mom’s Perspective

Looking after a pet isnโ€™t just about feeding, playing, or cleaning up every single day. Itโ€™s about growing. Pets teach children responsibility, kindness, and compassion in ways that textbooks canโ€™t. When Ana cares for her pup Foxy, she isnโ€™t simply looking after an animal. Sheโ€™s nurturing her character, learning to follow through, and discovering how love, consistency, and joy all matter in small daily choices. These lessons from pets arenโ€™t just for kids. Theyโ€™re reminders for all of us about what it means to be caring, steadfast, and full of grace.
