Fun Group Session with Timeless Memories – Senior Photography at Its Best!
Hey friends! 💕
I recently had the privilege of doing a super fun senior rep team shoot with a fantastic group of girls, and let me tell you – it was a blast! Over the past couple of years, we’ve gathered at different spots for these sessions, and every time it’s such a treat to capture their personalities, friendships, and all the little moments that make them them. The best part? We get individual shots AND group shots – it’s the perfect blend of personal and social.
Rustic & Fun Senior Session
This year’s shoot had a bit of a rustic vibe, and I think I’m officially obsessed with it! We had the backdrop of an old gas station in downtown Tacoma! – just the right mix of vintage charm and simple beauty. The girls’ outfits were perfectly coordinated (without being too matchy-matchy) and really brought the session to life. It was one of those moments where the whole scene just clicked. If you are looking for a gorgeous dress like this one Amazon has a sleeveless one that you will look fabulous in! Check it out on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3I2iwX7 [ad]

Last year, we had an awesome session at Carr’s Restaurant in Lakewood, Washington, where the backdrop was a classic, old pick-up truck. You can check out their restaurant here. They no longer have the beautiful truck out front after renovations, but it’s a wonderful place to grab some food! It made for the perfect rustic vibe, and the girls were absolute naturals in front of the camera. This year, we switched things up and headed to Ball Auto in Tacoma, where we found an old gas station that brought even more character to the shoot. If you’re looking for vintage locations, I can’t recommend Ball Auto enough! Check them out here.

Individual Photos That Speak Volumes
It’s always so fun to see how each girl shows off her personality through her photos. Whether it’s a bold, carefree pose or a soft, thoughtful expression, each shot tells a story. I had the chance to snap some beautiful solo shots – I’m so proud of the work we did together. From close-ups with a dreamy sun-kissed glow to wide shots in front of the truck, each photo came out like a piece of timeless art.
Adding classic Coke bottles to your retro senior session is the perfect vintage touch that brings instant nostalgia and charm! Whether you’re channeling 1950s Americana or just adding a splash of iconic red to your shoot, these timeless glass bottles are more than just a prop—they tell a story. With their bold branding, retro shape, and timeless vibe, they add authenticity to gas station or diner setups and give your photos a fun, playful energy. Plus, they’re perfect for relaxed posing—hold one casually, take a sip, or lean on a counter for a classic pin-up twist! You can purchase some right here on Amazon: https://amzn.to/4nnqw58 [ad]
Of course, we didn’t forget to capture some group shots too! There’s something about getting a bunch of high-energy girls together and letting them just be themselves that makes for the most incredible memories. Laughter, fun, and friendship are all present in every frame.

A Word About the Location
If you’re ever looking for the perfect spot for a rustic, timeless photoshoot, I can’t recommend checking out old gas stations or vintage vehicles enough. The textures, colors, and stories those spots hold are just gold when it comes to creating memories that will last a lifetime. I’m sure we’ll keep coming back to these spots for future shoots, but each time, it feels a little new. Sometimes it’s the little things, right?

Why Senior Rep Sessions Are So Special
Senior photography is something so dear to my heart. It’s a milestone in a young person’s life, and it’s such an honor to be a part of that. As a mom and photographer, I totally get how important these moments are. Not only do you get gorgeous photos, but you get to reflect on where you’ve been and where you’re going. These girls will have their photos for years to come, and when they look back on them, I hope they remember how loved and beautiful they were (and still are!).
If you’re planning your own senior session or know someone who is, I’d love to help make it a memorable experience! Whether you want rustic vibes or something totally different, I’ve got your back. Just give me a shout!
And if you’re in the mood for some seriously tasty comfort food while reminiscing on your photoshoot day, you can’t go wrong with a visit to Carr’s Restaurant. It’s the perfect spot to sit down, relax, and enjoy some delicious eats with your crew. 🍔🍟
